About Us
We chose the name BitCure to symbolize the convergence of healthcare and technology expertise within our founding team. In BitCure, 'Bit' represents the 'Bits and bytes' that form the language of computers, while 'Cure' signifies our collective commitment to fighting disease and embracing a proactive approach to healthcare.
Our journey began in response to the prevailing state of the healthcare industry. Unfortunately, the traditional healthcare system often prioritizes the interests of the industry over those of patients. Over the years, this misalignment has led to incentive structures that focus on managing diseases rather than preventing them. The healthcare economic model has become intertwined with the health insurance industry, creating barriers to delivering optimal healthcare within the current system.
Conventional treatment methods frequently fall short in addressing the root causes of chronic conditions, like Metabolic Syndrome and behavioral and mental health issues. Instead, they tend to focus on treating symptoms, neglecting the underlying clinical conditions. Moreover, the traditional healthcare delivery model limits the time clinicians can spend with patients, forcing them to rush through interactions, as they are required to see a minimum number of patients each day in the conventional model.
These challenges drove us to operate outside the confines of the traditional insurance-based system. Instead, we've designed an economic model based on membership, where patients directly pay for our services through an affordable monthly subscription. This approach empowers us to provide higher-quality care, allowing our practitioners the flexibility to dedicate the necessary time to assist patients without strict quotas or productivity limits.
The role of technology in facilitating collaboration between clinicians and patients has gained importance, especially in light of recent events like the pandemic. Leveraging the deep technology expertise within our founding team, BitCure offers high-quality care and support, utilizing modern technology tools to provide accessible care through physical and digital channels. This significantly improves access to care and allows our clinicians to deliver optimal and friction-free healthcare.
All these factors inspired our founding team to gather the resources needed to introduce a next-generation healthcare approach for our community. While BitCure currently focuses on Primary Care with an integrated approach to Behavioral and Mental Health, we envision our model evolving to manage more specialized healthcare conditions. Our goal is to optimize and provide handholding and guidance throughout a patient's journey, especially when transitioning to specialized healthcare services and addressing chronic conditions beyond the scope of primary care. BitCure has the ability to partner with HealthShare Networks as an alternative to traditional insurance, to provide high quality comprehensive coverage at a feasible cost.
